GET TO KNOW THE FOUNDER
Both Texas natives, Sam and his wife believe in serving their fellow man. Teaching and competing in jiu-jitsu for over 15 years, Sam has dedicated his life to the craft. A bronze medalist at the IBJJF European and World Championships, as well as a IBJJF Pan No-Gi Gold medalist, competing is one way he likes to continue to sharpen and master his skills in jiu-jitsu.

Also a native Texan, Cory is a USAF veteran who dabbled in different martial arts throughout life before falling in love with Jiu Jitsu in 2018 alongside his two daughters. He has a small collection of medals from local tournaments but his true passion lies in helping others reach their full potential as a licensed sport psychologist. Cory lead the first community jiu jitsu project sponsored by The Mat Mission and enjoys dropping in on gyms anywhere he can.
